Sacred geometry is the recognition that the same mathematical ratios underlie the structure of crystals, the growth of shells, the spacing of planets, and the layout of temples. These are not metaphors — they are the same equation appearing at different scales.

The Golden Ratio φ

$\varphi =\frac{1+\sqrt{5}}{2}\approx 1.618033988\dots$

φ is self-similar: ${\varphi }^2=\varphi +1$. It appears in:

• The nautilus shell
• The spacing of seeds in a sunflower
• The proportions of the Parthenon
• The human body (navel-to-floor / total height ≈ φ)

Applied to the Great Work: each phase of the alchemical process is not equal in duration or effort. Nigredo is the longest. Albedo is $\frac{1}{\varphi }$ of Nigredo. Rubedo is $\frac{1}{{\varphi }^2}$ — the final precipitation is swift once purification is complete.

The Platonic Solids

The five solids that can be inscribed in a perfect sphere — Plato assigned each to an element.

The Vesica Piscis

Two circles of equal radius, each passing through the other’s center. The overlap is the Vesica Piscis — the womb of sacred geometry. From it, the equilateral triangle, the square, and the pentagon can all be constructed with only compass and straightedge.

Pythagorean Theorem as Practice

$a^2+b^2=c^2$

Not just geometry — a model for all hidden relationships:

• $a$ = what you have trained
• $b$ = what you have dissolved
• $c$ = the emergent capacity you could not have predicted

The hypotenuse is always irrational when $a$ and $b$ are simple integers. The path of real transmutation cannot be expressed as a simple ratio of inputs.
